Through our partner CarivaCare, Athens Administrators now offers Mobile First Aid Response Services, along with their 24/7 Nurse Triage Services. Enhancing your program with the Mobile First Aid Support services can help reduce your workers’ compensation and lost time claims even further.

With the new Mobile First Aid Response Service, CarivaCare Advice Nurses will obtain a complete report of the incident and assess and triage the employee’s injury. If the injury is appropriate for Mobile First Aid Support, the CarivaCare team will dispatch a qualified technician to the employee’s work site. The benefits of this service for the employer are that it helps decrease the likelihood of litigation, reduces unnecessary doctors and emergency room visits and will help facilitate a more efficient process of the employee returning to modified or full duty since first aid treatment is being rendered on-site.

CarivaCare nurses are specifically trained in determining the medical appropriateness of care provided by a technician versus a medical facility, reducing an employer’s liability exposure.

Technicians can provide first aid within OSHA guidelines on many common workplace injuries, such as:

  • Abrasions
  • Burns
  • Back Pain
  • Contusions
  • Eye Irritation
  • Foreign Body
  • Heat Illness
  • Lacerations
  • Muscle Pain
  • Strain/Sprains
  • Slips, Trips or Falls
