Athens Administrators is excited to announce a companywide year-long competitive performance-based program, Tour de Athens. The competition consists of four quarter-long stages which cumulatively and ultimately lead to the Tour de Athens Grand Champion. Throughout the year Claim Units in both our Workers’ Compensation and Property + Casualty Divisions will compete to accrue maximum points and the top overall ranking.
 
     
 

How it works:

  
 
1. Titles: Teams will vie for Stage Titles and the Tour de Athens Grand Champion Title
• The GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP will run throughout 2018
• STAGES: There will be (4) focused quarter-long stages throughout the year
2. Points: Claim Units and Individual Examiners will score points based on:
• Most closures
• Oldest closures
• Highest value closures
3. Focus: Tour de Athens Grand Champion will contemplate all closures throughout the entire year
• This component promotes constant closings and keeps the closure focus sharp for the entire year
4. Prizes: This is a competition with prizes that include:
• Team jerseys for stage winning units
• Cash prizes
• Time off
• Trophy for the Grand Champion
• Possibly, and most importantly, Internal Bragging Rights
 
     
 

STAGE 1 - FIRST QUARTER 2018 RESULTS
We are pleased to announce that between January 1, 2018 and March 31, 2018 our staff closed approximately 10,000 claims that were valued at $109,000,000. This was a very successful Stage 1 of Tour de Athens. We are now two month into the second Stage of Tour de Athens and the early indication is that we will have extremely favorable results to publish at the end of June 2018.

  
     
 

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR ATHENS CUSTOMERS
Athens claim staff constantly focuses on driving claim closures and results for our clients. During 2018, outcomes will be further fueled by internal competition, rewards and bragging rights. We anticipate this year to be a very strong and successful performance year for Athens Administrators.
